Assumption Young Seniors Ministry

YOUR PENNIES AT WORK:  The Assumption Young Seniors’ would like to thank Mr. George Thomas for his outstanding workmanship on the handicap ramp.  Without him our project for 2009 would have been delayed.  Thank You, Mr. Thomas.  Please continue to support our Penny Drive Fund to assist us in other church projects.

The mission of the Young Seniors group is to communicate frequently with our homebound seniors, letting them know that we care about them, we are praying for them, and they are a  part of the Assumption Church Family.

The Young Seniors (Senior Citizens) of the Assumption Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary was reinstated on February 29, 2004 to provide support to our elderly parishioners in the church and surrounding community.  

The Young Seniors' place telephone calls the Sick and Shut-in at least twice a month and provide spiritual and emotional stability as needed.  

Fundraising events are used to help our seniors throughout the year namely, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and other special occasions determined by the Young Seniors.

The Young Seniors thank you for your continued support of the Penny Drive.  With your coins, The Young Seniors were able to purchase 16 folding chairs to replace the old and broken ones.  Visit the altar and you can view the chairs you bought.
